The procedure is usually performed on an outpatient basis under general or local anaesthesia. Your surgeon makes a small incision in the perineum (area between the anus and the vaginal opening) and tightens the vaginal canal length or removes excess skin and tissues.

The entire procedure takes 1 to 2 hours.
How Long is the Healing Time?
Following surgery, you may experience discomfort and swelling. Work may be resumed in two weeks, but you have to limit physical activities for 6 to 12 weeks. You may resume sexual activity after about 6 weeks.

As with any procedure, vaginal tightening may involve certain risks and complications which include infections, bleeding, scarring, painful sex, loss of sensation and numbness.
